Valve Seat Valve plug

Valves for liquid media often seal by means of conical surfaces. A hard/soft material combination has proven advantageous. In this design, either the valve seat or the valve plug is made of stainless steel or possibly another hard metal. The selection of the mating component depends on the strength of the plastic (PVDF, PEEK, UHMW-PE, PTFE),which in turn depends on the required closing force of the valve. System pressure plays a major role in this regard. Cavitation, abrasion, or leakage due to geometric deviations are considered manageable with our solutions.

Valve plugs can also be integrated with a diaphragm, bellows, piston, or components such as swirl elements to eliminate additional sealing points. This enables custom, multifunctional components that can also help protect against product piracy.
