For a reliable sealing system, the mating surface is of critical importance. For this reason, our customers often request that the shaft sleeve be supplied as well. We can provide running surfaces with DLC coatings, tungsten carbide, chromium oxide, or other surface treatments such as gas nitriding or roller burnishing. The result is a ready-to-install solution in which the hardness, surface roughness, and bearing area of the surface are ideally matched to the application and the compound of the sealing lip. Once the service life has been reached, both components can be replaced at the same time, providing a completely new sealing system after maintenance.
