Applications involving radial shaft seals for pumps often require product or lubricant leakage to be drained away to prevent cross-contamination. In some cases, quench or cleaning media (CIP, steam sterilization) must be supplied continuously or intermittently between the sealing lips. For this purpose, we offer complete radial shaft seal module solutions that incorporate all sealing lips, O-rings, and flushing channels. In such cases, existing multi-piece designs can often be replaced with one-piece cartridge designs.
These ready-to-install modular solutions are often used in rotary unions to achieve low frictional torque.
