New Approaches to Sealing and Plain Bearing Technology
Prompted early on by the discussion surrounding PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), we began researching alternatives to PTFE and similar materials years ago. The basis for this is UHMW-PE, which is modified, compounded, or further refined using chemical and physical methods depending on the specific application. The goal is to replace 90% of the applications that were previously reserved for fluoropolymers.
- Organor P1: Versatile, pure white UHMW-PE; wear-resistant, resistant to cyclic bending, and chemically resistant
- Organor P10: Conductive UHMW-PE, for ATEX-compliant applications
- Organor P16: Modified UHMW-PE with significantly improved abrasion resistance
- Organor P17: Blue-colored UHMW-PE
We currently have 5 materials in our development portfolio:
- Organor P25x: A material with high resistance to alternating bending and excellent chemical resistance, suitable for bellows and diaphragms. Operating temperature up to 125°C
- Organor PXX: A wear-resistant and chemically stable sealing material for the food industry and medical technology
- Organor PXY: A wear-resistant and chemically stable bearing material for the food industry and medical technology
- Organor PYY: High-wear-resistant sealing material for general mechanical engineering
- Organor PYZ: Highly wear-resistant plain bearing material for general mechanical engineering
