REQUESTHERE
Machined Diaphragm out of PTFE or UHMW-PE
Thursday, 20 August 2026 / Published in Membranes

Machined Diaphragm

Their machined production offers tremendous design flexibility, allowing adjacent functions to be integrated as well. Eliminating the need for complex molds reduces tooling costs to a minimum.

Compared with conventional PTFE, the higher-strength UHMW-PE generally allows wrench flats or valve plugs to be integrated directly into the component without difficulty.

Thanks to our advanced machining technologies, we can manufacture components as small as 10 mm in diameter with wall thicknesses down to 0.2 mm, as well as components with diameters up to 400 mm.

For high pressures and large strokes, particularly in pumps or valves, the wall thicknesses and convolutions can be precisely manufactured to meet the specific requirements of the application.

Conventional composite diaphragms made of film, rubber, fabric, PTFE, and steel inserts can generally be replaced with machined PE 1000 designs without compromising functionality.
