The looming restrictions on the use of fluoropolymers in the wake of the PFAS debate serve as yet another call to developers and buyers to seek out long-term alternatives. In particular, manufacturers of valves and pumps for the beverage and process industries have so far found it difficult to use anything other than PTFE.
I will show here that it is obviously not as impossible as it seems. The solutions are within reach and even offer some advantages over Teflon®.
