For beverage filling applications, gas control valves are used and must be positioned close to the actual filling valve. A previously common valve design was oversized and incorporated a space-consuming bellows seal. We succeeded in retrofitting the existing valve with a PTFE diaphragm without reducing the valve stroke (plexiglass model).
The NBR actuator diaphragm was replaced with a reliable Teflon® alternative within the same installation space. All other components and interfaces could be retained, ensuring that the customer’s existing modular system required only minimal modifications.
In einem weiteren Schritt wurde eine Miniaturisierung auf jeweils (LxBxH) 60% erzielt. Die Leistungsfähigkeit gegen Druckstöße und Systemdruck konnte durch den Einsatz eines federunterstützten Nutring (BFN) dabei noch einmal erhöht werden. Das vorhandene Ventil konnte in einigen Anwendung ersetzt werden. Die Kosten und der Platzbedarf konnten deutlich reduziert werden.
