Ready for an Apprenticeship?

The Foundation for Your Professional Success

Vocational training is a high priority at our company because we aim not only to support the development of job-specific knowledge, but also to foster social skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. In an increasingly complex working world, a solid vocational education is an important step toward a fulfilling and successful career.

At our company location in Alzenau, Bavaria, which is easily accessible by bus and train, bock machining gmbh offers a variety of apprenticeships every year. For those who want to combine theory and practical experience, we also offer a dual-study program that combines academic studies with professional experience. Depending on qualifications and performance, the duration of the apprenticeship may also be shortened.

Our goal is not only to provide our apprentices with high-quality vocational training, but also to meet the future staffing needs of our specialized departments primarily with employees we have trained ourselves. This means that we aim to offer all of our apprentices a permanent employment contract upon successfully completing their final examination AND the prospect of a long-term, successful career with our company.

For us, one thing is clear: Sustainable success is built on mutual trust and appreciation. We invest in our employees because we are convinced that only a shared, long-term path leads to satisfaction and success for both sides.

During an internship with our company, you can learn more about us and our exciting apprenticeship opportunities. Please send us your complete application via E-Mail. All the information you need can be found in the apprenticeship opportunities listed below.

What an Apprenticeship at bock machining gmbh Looks Like:

1

Basic Metalworking Training

The foundation of every apprenticeship at our company is the basic metalworking training program, which all apprentices complete during their first 4–5 months. The training takes place at our six-person workbench, which was specifically purchased for our apprentices and tailored to their needs. In addition to learning fundamental metalworking skills and techniques, the program focuses on becoming familiar with various materials and tools. It also helps strengthen teamwork among the apprentices and encourages interaction and knowledge sharing.

2

Department Rotation

After completing the basic metalworking training, apprentices rotate through various departments within our company. This gives them a comprehensive understanding of our business processes and allows them to gain valuable hands-on experience. The departments include order processing, accounting, purchasing, materials & sustainability, engineering, continuous improvement (CIP) & maintenance, logistics, production, and sales.

3

Advanced Training

Depending on the apprenticeship occupation, further specialization is provided:
Industrial mechanics and mechatronics technicians complete advanced basic metalworking training, part of which takes place at an external training facility. They also acquire advanced skills in turning and milling.
Industrial management assistants and technical product designers move to their respective specialized departments to further develop job-specific knowledge and skills.

4

Occupation-Specific Specialization

Orientation and placement in the future specialized department, with intensive preparation for the chosen area of specialization.

5

Theoretical Knowledge

Industrial mechanics, mechatronics technicians, and technical product designers attend Vocational School 1 in Aschaffenburg, while industrial management assistants attend Vocational School 2 in Aschaffenburg. To further reinforce the theoretical foundations acquired there, we also provide in-house classroom instruction.

6

Intensive Exam Preparation

To ensure optimal preparation for the final examination, we regularly provide our apprentices with dedicated study time during working hours. They also receive comprehensive study materials and practice exercises to help them prepare for their exams as effectively as possible.

7

Final Examination

For Part 2 of the final examination (AP2), apprentices complete a company-based project. This serves as evidence of the knowledge and skills acquired during their apprenticeship.

8

Permanent Employment Upon Completion

Ideally, successful completion of the final examination is followed by an offer of permanent employment.
