Specifically, replacing a PTFE seal, for example, involves the following steps:
- Identification of the component and material
- Review and, if necessary, redefinition of the requirements
- Recommendation of a new material
- Design and engineering of the replacement component
- Production of production-representative prototypes
Optional:
- Wear testing of the alternative material against the existing mating surface on our in-house test rig
- Service life testing on a production-equivalent test rig
