In paint spray guns, a distinction is made between horn air and atomizing air. The needle, on the other hand, is actuated by control air. This acts on a piston against a preloaded spring. Control pistons are also required in paint valves.
These are often complex assemblies with numerous seals and channels that separate the different air circuits from one another.
In the past, we have been able to develop integrated solutions that combine multiple functions. In many cases, all seals could be integrated into a single component, eliminating additional components and saving space. The result was complete piston assemblies characterized by smooth operation, resistance to solvent mist, and low wear.
